SEASONS GREETINGS ONCE AGAIN!!!! Well my crazy run of Abba has now come to an end for Dec and I'm looking forward to a few days off over Xmas before my New Years Eve gig in Grantham - hope to see some of you there!

Dec has been crazy and extremely tiring - and (like everyone else) I managed to get the dreaded cold and am hoping to shift it now I can finally get some sleep!

We have met some great people over the past few weeks and I would especially like to wish a Merry Xmas to our new friends at St Mary's in London who had their Xmas party today. And also a massive thank you to Charmayne at the Holiday Inn in Harrogate for taking great care of us even though we were dying of the flu!

I look forward to a great new year and wish you all the best for the festive season and the year ahead.

Merry Christmas!

Hi All!!

Well December is flying by and I've spent most of it in the Planet Abba van travelling the length and breadth of the country! Hi to all that turned out to the outdoor gig in Kilmarnock - I know it was cold so thanks for coming! It's certainly been a great December so far and I'm sure the rest of the month will be just as busy and successful!

Moving!

Hey there

Sorry for the delay in blogging - I have recently moved house with my fiance to a lovely village in Lincolnshire called Billinghay. Normal working has now resumed and I am hitting Boston and Warwick this weekend with Planet Abba - do bob along if you see us advertised!

Christmas is coming!

Hi all

With Christmas approaching I announce that this weekend is my last weekend of solo work for a few weeks. Throughout December I will be touring the UK with Planet Abba entertaining the masses before we hit the New Year!

This weekend I say my 2008 farewells to Ruskington, Lincoln and Barnsley before launching my own new show from February 1st 2009.

New Year - New Shows

Well ....

2008 is rapidly coming to a close and dates have come in thick and fast. Looking towards the New Year and I am proud to announce that new shows will be launched soon. Keep your eyes peeled for 'Swing into Motown' - 'Diva's' - 'The Best of Bond' and 'Decades' which could soon be coming to a venue near you!

I am now taking bookings for Casino's around the UK with the 'Swing into Motown' show.

Auditions were held yesterday for Movie Musical Magic and I would like to thank those that came along and showed off their vocal talents. We have shortlisted and are now looking for just one more male to join the cast - preferable Lincolnshire or South Yorkshire based - if you're interested then get in touch!

I'll be heading to Huddersfield and Sheffield this weekend so keep your eyes peeled!

With so much to do and so little time to do it I will keep it brief!

Home Again

Hey All

I am now back from my wonderful adventures in Oz and ready to face the world again! I had a fantastic 5 weeks away and am looking forward to getting back to work once the jet lag subsides! Lots of gigs coming up but still a few spare dates over the next few months if you have any requirements.

Hey all!

Well it's time for me to return from the wonderful land of Oz! It's certainly been a great experience and I have managed to get a tan - always a bonus! I'm back at work a week on Sunday (although lots to do in between - like getting Movie Musical Magic up and running!) - the auditions for MMM are coming up very soon and I'd like to thank all that applied - we will be contacting those for audition next week.

I'm looking forward to returning to the UK and getting back on the road.

Holiday!

Hi all

Well I have to say I am very much enjoying having some time off work in sunny Australia. I have had some great trips out, have fed kangaroos and tickled koala's! - This is the life!

I have even found an Abba tribute show and will be popping along to watch Bjorn Again in Brisbane on 3rd Oct.

Holiday!

Well, I am now getting sorted for a well earned 5 week break in Australia. Had a great weekend in Wakefield and Bradford - many thanks to Mr 69 at the Laisterdyke WMC for keeping me entertained!

I'll be away from 13th Sept to 18th Oct sunning myself in Brisbane! I can still be contacted via email should anyone need to get hold of me. I'll be back at work mid October so keep your eyes peeled as I could be coming to a venue near you!

The wonderful Wizard of Oz!!!!

Well, another busy weekend over with Friday at the Remmington in Mablethorpe, and a crazy Saturday night at the Birchwood Leisure Centre in Lincoln!

Soon be getting ready for a 5 week trip to Australia and am really looking forward to some sun, sand and surf!

What a busy weekend! Fri near Gatwick airport with Angel Eyes (Abba duo) - fantastic night had by all - except for the broken bed!

Sat in Doncaster - thanks for looking after me - and Sunday in Leeds.

Thankfully had a lovely bank holiday Monday off and got back to Anwick in time to watch the bikers making their way through the village after a day at Donnington. Thanks to the guy who pulled a wheelie at the bottom of Chapel Lane!

Got a busy week sorting through CV's for Movie Musical Magic - thanks to all those that have submitted their details. We are accepting CV's until the end of September so keep them coming.

Musical Theatre Performers Needed

Outstanding male and female musical theatre performers needed for an exciting new project launching in 2009.

Movie Musical Magic is taking the ‘review show’ to a new level and is looking for cast members. All applicants must have excellent vocal ability and good dance/movement skills. Ideally Lincolnshire based with own transport to get to meeting points.

Initially the show will be touring cabaret venues and then moving into theatres later in the year.

Applicants must be between 18-30 years old and some experience of musical theatre an advantage but not a must.

Auditions will be held late Oct 2008.

Another busy weekend over. Friday night was in Saltfleet and Saturday was a crazy night in Knaresborough! A good time had by all!

Movie Musical Magic

Well after another busy weekend in Mablethorpe and Nottingham its time to jump on the A1 again! Tomorrow I will be meeting with my partner in crime Mr Harrison Breeze to discuss further plans for the musical extravaganza 'Movie Musical Magic'. The show will be touring theatres all over the country in 2009 and is guaranteed to be the greatest show of it's kind. Sporting some of the greatest west end style singers and dancers it certainly is not to be missed.

Off again!

Well another busy weekend has come to a close - this time gracing stages in Skegness and Wakefield. Great night on Friday at JT's Club in Chapple St Leonards - I hope everyone that was there had a safe trip home at the end of their holiday.

This coming weekend I'll be heading to Mablethorpe on Friday and Nottingham on Saturday. Let's hope the weather picks up!

Party in the Car Park

Well, Party in the Car Park was a HUGE success and I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone that came along to support the event. Over £800 was raised for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulances so we are very pleased. We are already planning next years concert which will be even bigger and better than this year!

Party in the Car Park

Just to remind everyone of this weekends charity event .... PARTY IN THE CAR PARK at the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Ruskington. It's on Sunday 27th July from 2pm onwards. There will be tons of local bands and artistes performing to help raise money for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance services - a worthy cause I'm sure you'll agree.

Saturday night at the Royal Oak Hol Park in Chapple St Leonards, Sunday I'm playing at PARTY IN THE CARPARK at the Shoulder of Mutton, Ruskington - all proceeds of the event are going to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulances - a very worthy cause so please support us - then Sunday night in Knottingley! When I signed online this morning I had a few emails asking about the type of functions I'm available for. Just to let you all know that my show can be adapted for all occasions be it weddings, birthdays, staff parties, anniversaries, divorces .... I've even sang at the odd funeral! I'm also available for cruises, casino's, hotels, dinner dances or just a good old knees up down the local social club! My show can come fully self contained with my own PA and lights or I can also work to dots. Any further enquiries, don't hesitate to get in touch! Louise Martell hits the road again, Exeter, Ormskirk and Pontefract.

This weekend I'll be covering a fair few miles in the van with Planet Abba, travelling to Exeter Friday and Ormskirk on Saturday. And as there is no rest for the wicked (as they say) I'll be heading off solo on Sunday night to sunny Pontefract in Yorkshire. Louise started her life on stage at the tender age of 3 years old as a teeny tot dancer in Greater Manchester. Following in the theatrical footsteps of her parents she continued in the amateur-performing world until the end of her school days.

After leaving school she continued her studies at Falkirk College, Scotland, gaining an NC, HNC and HND in Drama and Theatre Studies. From there she went onto Manchester Metropolitan University to achieve an honours degree in Drama and Creative Writing.

Since then Louise has toured the UK in three educational theatre tours as well as performing in various holiday parks. Her one-woman cabaret show has also proved successful up and down the country, including a performance at the Palace Theatre, London as a featured artist in ‘Sunday Night Live.’

Since 2004 Louise has been performing on board various cruise ships including the Island Escape, Thomson Emerald, Fred Olsen Boudicca and most recently the Costa Allegra as lead production vocalist. Here she has showcased her talents not only as a dancer and production singer, but also her abilities to shine in her solo show.

She is a versatile and professional performer with an outstanding talent.
